The Nephrology Clinic

The Nephrology Clinic’s medical tenant finish design challenge was to create a new medical office an existing, vacant suite.  SPD was to create spaces that included 12-15 Provider Offices, 12-15 Exam Rooms, a 20 person Conference Room.  This is not to mention the associated services rooms such as Check In/Check Out, Break Room, Storage, and Lab.  All this needed to fit into the fixed space of just over 7,130 square feet.

The result provides 2 larger areas: administration and patients.  The administration side contains 12 provider offices that are large enough for dual occupancy, a 20 person conference room, a four person scheduling office, 4 person billing office, and a 4 person triage office, among others.  The patient side consists of 12 exam rooms, Check-In/Check-Out/Reception, a lab, and two nurse’s stations.

Given the age range of the patients, special attention to wayfinding has been provided by the use of contrasting colors and shapes to help aide them in moving through out the space.

Elder Construction was selected as the General Contractor.  We started construction late Summer of 2022 and construction completed in the Spring of 2023.  Photographs are coming soon!
