Thompson River Pediatrics commissioned SPD Architecture to design their new facility. Their initial space housed only 3 exam rooms and 1 procedure room and so it was crammed to begin with. Couple that with the fact that they nearly quadrupled in patient size since they opened, the need for more space was paramount. The program was loosely defined but through a series of highly efficient exercises and meetings, the desired outcome came into view.
The result is a 10,000 sf new facility complete with 14 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, and an x-ray room. This is not mention a 2,000 sf Physical Therapy clinic and Autism Center.
It was determined early on that the project would have the best outcome realized if a General Contractor was brought on board at the beginning stages. Bryan Construction was selected and provided pre-construction services through-out the design, offering valuable insight to help maintain the budget.
